2nd Video Clip

video

For most of these 4 1/2 years since Jim's accident, he leans to the right.  That's why my head or my hand is giving him a gentle support.  It looks like during some of his answers that my hand is affecting his head movement, but I assure you, I am merely gently supporting Jim -- HE IS MOVING HIS OWN HEAD!  Either a YES or a NO.

1st Video Post -- my brother 3 years ago - Rock, Paper, Scissors

videoThis was Jim in March, 2008, at National Rehab Hospital in Washington, DC -- after a baclofen pump was implanted in his side to assist his muscles with relaxation.  The idea is to give a much lower dose, at a steady pace in order to make the relaxation more constant.

Here, our brother Craig is asking him to do "rock, paper, scissors."
The next step after this medication enables "release" of Jim's muscles is consistence physical therapy (PT).  We have had some stretches of Jim getting that kind of attention, but mostly in the 4 years since his car accident (Oct 2006), he has not gotten nearly enough PT.
We are in the process of getting Jim closer to those of us who want to help him get this attention.
Stay tuned!
